Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you."

I am not really sure why I love this poem. I am not a very religious person, but somehow every time I read it ..I just feel at peace!

Maybe nature is my forte?

This is some photographs I took ..it's Stansbury Park. They have a gorgeous lake, and inlands ..and each section of the houses has it's own section of a lake, and they have canoes and boats and docks. I think it is so beautiful!

My goal ..

I am starting to really get interested in Photography more and more. Recently my husband dug out an old 35 mm camera that he got for his 22nd birthday from his uncle. He bought it at a garage sale for $5 bucks ..back in the day. When I saw it .. my jaw dropped. It comes with a mega super lens ..that's HUGE and ..gorgeous! It started to really get me thinking about it. My goal is to get some film for this camera and play with it ..and see the difference between the two cameras! We have been so spoiled with the modern technology and the instant gratification. Check out this beast .. it's pretty neat!









It has the two different size lenses. The one that it came with, and the other big one. The little lens has a magnification of 30 feet, and the bigger one goes 100 feet. It's going to be a lot of fun playing with the settings. The only problem is (and this is where we are spoiled) I won't be able to see the pictures I took, until I can get the film developed. So that should be really interesting. I'm pretty excited.
